I am excited to share this program information with you. Announcing the evening with Rabbi Capers Funnye of Chicago on Sunday November 20th 7:00pm. Location is Congregation Darchei Noam, 864 Sheppard Avenue West,(corner of Wilmington Ave. & Sheppard Ave W), North York, ON. He is a leader in the Black Jewish community, a member of the Chicago Board of Rabbis and has done much to bridge Jewish white-black relations. Rabbi Funnye is cousin to Michelle Obama; He was ordained 25 years ago this month as a rabbi. He has a great story to tell as to how he came to be Jewish and a rabbi. Rabbi Funnye will also talk about the Jews of Africa.
