Marc Chagall and the Jerusalem Windows

Category :: Lecture
Enter a world of magical and allegorical figures! Feel the emotions of a bride and groom! Sense the passion of a fiddler, pouring his soul into his instrument! Join Timmy Cohen, moderator and lecturer for McGill Institute for Learning in Retirement, as she explores the life and paintings of artist Marc Chagall and follow in his development in the medium of stained glass, beginning with the windows he created for the Cathedral at Metz and culminating in the magnificent set of Jerusalem Windows. We will examine these beautifully-coloured masterpieces, as well as the biblical history that inspired them
