Lag Ba'omer is one of the happiest days in the Jewish calendar. Celebrated 33 days after the beginning of Passover, on the 18th day of Iyar. The name of the holiday means "33rd day of the omer" - the omer being the counting of days between the second day of Passover to Shavuot.
The day is celebrated with outings, bonfires and other joyous events. |
