Prominent Islamic intellectual and reformer, Dr. Tawfik Hamid is Senior Fellow and Chair for the Study of Islamic Radicalism at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies in Washington DC.
Dr. Hamid was a medical student in Cairo when he was persuaded to join the jihadist movement. Now a leading authority on the mindset of the jihadi, he is frequently interviewed on CNN, Fox News, and published in international media. He has been guest speaker to the US Congress, European Parliament, and many international security and counter-terrorism organizations. Dr. Hamid is author of Inside Jihad: Understanding and Confronting Radical Islam.
