IYC Junior Sailing Club -- Island Yacht Club

We've been teaching kids from 7-17 to sail from our beautiful Toronto Island location at Island Yacht Club since 1958! 2-week to one-month sessions. Free transportation on our club tender from cityside to IYC. Our instructors are Canadian Yachting Association and St. John's Amublance certified to provide your child with safe, fun, quality instruction in a relaxed, camp setting. Our beginner "White Sail" sailors enjoy tennis and swimming twice a week, as well as cruise days, overnights and BBQ Fridays to round out their program. Our advanced sailors concentrate on Bronze and Silver Sail Levels and participate in one off-site regatta per month. Opti Racers and Double-Handed Racers will work on their Learn to Race levels this year and will participate in weekly Bay Races and regattas in the Toronto area. Sailing is an amazing, life-long sport that combines recreational and social pursuits. More than that, it is an awesome family activity.
